The Story...

In the lore of travelers
exists a tale
of a small town
with no name
just a number
the number 5.

It is said that it lies on the fringe
of a large old forest.
Should you happen across this town
and spend an evening at the local pub,
you may hear whispered talk of a manor,
deep in the forest and surrounded by
a tall stone wall.

No one knows how long it has been there.
Some say it has always been there.
The locals never venture into the forest.
It is said that the manor is inhabited by
wicked creatures and the spirits of ne'er do wells.
It is also said that they guard a treasure
hidden somewhere inside the belly of
this beastly manor.

Occasionally, an outsider will come to the town
and learn of this manor and its rumored treasure.
Ignoring the warnings of the townspeople,
they have entered the forest
to hunt for this treasure.

According to the locals, these treasure hunters
have never been seen or heard from again.

This is where, my fearless furiends,
you must go.
Are you ready?

How to Hunt for the Treasure...

A successful treasure hunter is both
resourceful and lucky.

There are 5 Acts.
In Acts I through IV
you will need your resourcefulness
to solve clues.

In Act V you will need your luck
to pick the one choice out of 5
that will lead you to the treasure.

You are allowed ONE GUESS per day
at each clue's solution.
That Guess should be emailed to
petfictiontheater@gmail.com
and not included in your comments.
Once Act I is posted,
all comments will be monitored
just in case, in someone's excitement,
they blurt out the solution in their comment ;)

Be aware that Act IV has a bonus clue.
Should you solve that clue as well as the
"move to Act V" clue,
you will be allowed 2 guesses on the first day of Act V.

To keep things interesting for all,
the solution for Act I will be posted here
on the third day following the Act's initial release.
That would be on the morning of October 18th.
Act II would also be released at that time.

Similar posting of solutions for Acts II and III
are planned as well UNLESS
The Treasure is found prior to Act IV's posting.
Then the releases would be moved up so all
who wanted to play out The Treasure Hunt could do so.
The location of the treasure would remain a
secret until then.

The solution to Act IV and the release of Act V
will not be posted until The Treasure is found.

For those who Guess the solution correctly
BY MIDNIGHT (EST) on the first day of release,
you will be emailed the secret link to the next Act
the following morning.
Those who Guess incorrectly will be emailed
the following morning with a request to
Guess Again.

The earliest the Treasure's location could be discovered
is six days after Act I is posted.
If I were a betting dog, and I am,
I would bet it will be several days later
that The Treasure is found. ;)

So I wish you safe travels and good luck!
And most of all I wish you lots of fun
in your hunt for the treasure :D

  6. Oh gosh, we looked at this at 6 am and it is still dark and spooky outside. I am already spooked. This looks like so much fun but I think My Vickie will have to wait until daylight on the 16th to play cause she is much scareder than me.

Hope we don't get too far behind everyone else. I love a good game.....
